JOB DESCRIPTION

Omega Morphosis is looking for humble and hardworking employees to join their team of scientists. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting the Omega Morphosis staff of scientists.
  • Help to carefully craft the Omega Morphosis online personality and brand image.
  • Creating videos for use on various Omega Morphosis Platforms.
  • Learning about new science and new technology.
  • Having a positive attitude.
  • Being adaptable to change.
  • Being able to manage your time to complete priority tasks.
  • Not being afraid of working too hard.
  • Having the ability to work outside your comfort zone.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

If you work for Omega Morphosis you will be expected to:

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Work simultaneously on multiple projects to support current client workload.
  • Have a high understanding of social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin.
  • Manage, collaborate, and develop marketing and video assets and creatives that meet our marketing objectives.
  • Coordinate to post aspects of production for print, audio-visual, or electronic materials (web, digital screens)
  • Filming, editing, and uploading footage to communication channels as needed.
  • Keeping video footage organized in applicable storage locations.
  • Continuously discover and implement new shoot technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency and footage quality.
  • Maintaining videography and photography equipment and ensuring that equipment is accounted for at all times.
  • Ensure management is informed and up-to-date on the status and progress of various projects and all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and an ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to synthesize information from numerous sources.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and ability to pick up new techniques or programs.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work with various software and to upgrade web page management skills and technology on an ongoing basis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE + EDUCATION

  • Minimum 2-years’ experience of videography experience
  • Knowledge of industry standard software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Final Cut Pro.
  • Motion graphics and/or video editing skills
  • Experience with Facebook and Google analytics an asset.
